Design for a loose leaf tea tin. I tried to keep this as minimal as possible for a clean design that showcases a high end product.
Because this was a Project with it's story about a man from ancient China, I wanted the raw media that would form the logo to be something primitive, which is why I made the sketch of emperor Nung sipping tea in charcoal and looked at simple line drawings from traditional Chinese art for inspiration.
My initial design for this didn't work well, there were too many unnecessary visual elements and textures and the text and functional info such as ingredients were not well laid out.
